Annual calculation of electric power use

The annual calculation of electric power use means that the System operator of distribution network (SODO) reads the counter once in the calendar year, which is also the basis for the calculation of the electric power use, created by the supplier of electric power. During the calculation period the consumer pays for the electric power by payment on account (instalments), the amount of which is calculated on the basis of the consumer's average daily use in the previous calculating period. The amount of the instalment during the first year can be arranged for the new consumers by common consent, or the average daily use of Slovene households is taken into consideration.

Example:

The consumer consumed in the previous calculation period the total of 1.460 kWh

  • 1.460 kWh : 365 = 4 kWh per day
  • 4 kWh per day * 30 days = 120 kWh per month

In the new calculation period the monthly instalment will be charged for the daily use of 4 kWh.

How can you check the amount of the instalment?

During the calculation period you can check the correctness of the issued instalment, so that you inform us on the state of counter, read in the time of the instalment maturity, and request the control calculation.

For the control calculation you can decide, if you would like to:

  • check the correctness of the amount of the issued instalment
  • avoid bigger top-up payments or prepayment according to the regular calculation during the increase or decrease of electric power use
  • change the amount of the instalment.

On the basis of the informed state of the counter, we will create the control calculation from the date of the last calculation until the date of the new reading.

The calculation of electric power by actual use

Instead of calculation of electric power by payment on account (instalments), which is calculated on the basis of your average daily use in the previous calculation period, you can decide for the non-instalment way of calculation, which means that you can pay for electric power by actual use.

In this case you have to inform us monthly on the state of your counter.
